You're right, lindane is not the best treatment for children because they can be absorbed through the skin and is neurotoxic. I am not aware of any cases of actual harm, but the potential is certainly there.

Pyrethrins permathin and medicine to kill lice nits many but not all of them. Lice are resistant. In addition, you can have your local school board a "no politics" nit before returning your child to school. This is particularly frustrating, because the female louse is very effective in consolidating their eggs on the hair near the scalp. Nit Covers found more than one centimeter from the scalp are old and empty, or contain dead slow. Finally, the empty shells and also the places for dandruff or nits are confused, so that the child is doomed to return home.

Remove all the nits can be difficult. If only a few hairs cut. If you have a solution of one part vinegar and one part water, a message sent by the hair to loosen the ties and bit easier to do away with a lice comb, ie, a comb with small teeth. I can't discussion on the effectiveness of tea tree oil.

I thought I saw an article on the treatment of head lice only with a hair dryer. It is possible that this research.

I am a professional nitpick in New Jersey and helped 100s of families to remove lice and nits in recent years: the ridge is the only way to go, a good metal comb, Licemeister Dentiliso or terminator. Smother your hair with a thick conditioner. Use the hair and fine combing hair, strand by strand. 3.4-bottom comb of lice and nits removed permanently. This is the safest and most secure.
