Well ... I would'nt recommend joint replacement a person with an allergy to latex or metal, which the body reacts to the implant. It is usually not a problem because the implants are non-organic origin. In fact, even sometiems bone chips in surgery in the whole structure of life is used, has been rinsed from them. Most reactions to poor sterile technique during surgery.
Cases in which no rejection is very rare and usually already destroyed on the ground people with autoimmune diseases. The new generation of boards are made from stainless steel or titanium and plastic biological origin. Of all the artificial joints, I'll go see how people (and thousands of summer) I have never refused anyone. We use the joints of Johnson & Johnson's DePuy.
